I saw something very interesting on TV the other night. A commercial. This precious four year old was taking a picture of her fish with her digital camera. In the span of 30 seconds she took the photo, edited the photo by making the color brighter, and sent it to her mom, dad, and siblings - in the span of 30 seconds. The thought occurred to me how dynamic this was. She doesn’t know anything about teaching to the whole brain, she just knows, "hey I love my fish and I want my family to see this beautiful creature" It was truly natural for her to embrace this method of communication. A far cry from draw your favorite pet. We know she can take a picture, edit it, and sent it via email. What if she can't draw?
