In my quest to find interesting information for our Work/Life component of PALOOZA I found the video of Randy Pausch's "Last Lecture". It is a bit long but well work your time. Is is phenomenal. (:

the guy lost me at pushup. i'll try again a bit later, i do believe that attending to the whole person is the way to go.
ReplyDeleteIt was very loooooooong. Too long. But since it was a rainy Saturday, I kept listening (hoping to hear something meaningful). I did note a few tidbits. My favorite: Brick walls are there for a reason. They are there so you can prove how badly you want something. That was a gem I will take away and keep.
ReplyDeleteI watched this when Randy was still alive. I was mesmerized by his courage in the face of impending death. So much so that I bought his book. His strongest message for me was to live your best life, following your dreams, learning always, and giving of yourself - leaving a legacy of having made the world a better place. He was a risk taker from when he first interned at Disney to when he created his last lecture to speak to others as he spoke to his children. Thanks for reminding me of how much I enjoyed this enduring last lecture.
